— Our Story —
Monti Primo is the next chapter in a story Mike, Suzana, and their son Mondi Markeci have been writing since 2011 — when the family opened Naples Italian Restaurant in Leesburg. Eleven years and countless plates of pasta later, they sold the place and went looking for the next one. They found it in Belleview.
The name is a small inside joke. Monti takes after Mondi — and means mountain in Italian. Primo means prime. Put together: Prime Mountain. A high bar, set by family.

Every sauce is housemade. Every pasta is brought to the table because someone in this kitchen still remembers the way nonna did it. We seat about 150 inside, with a 50-person room for the parties you don’t want to host at home, a bar that pours full liquor, and a patio for the nights the Florida air feels like Tuscany.

In 2011, Mike and Suzana Markeci opened Naples Italian Restaurant in Leesburg. They ran it the way they knew how — with their hands in the flour, their family in the dining room, and a kitchen built on recipes carried over from the old country.
Eleven years of long lunches and longer dinners. Sauces that started before sunrise and finished after the last table left. A son who grew up between the booths and learned to fold a calzone before he could drive.
In 2022 they sold Naples Italian and went looking for the next chapter. They found it in Belleview. And they did what they’ve always done — brought their family into the kitchen.
The pasta you eat tonight at Monti Primo was first rolled out on a table just like these.

We chose Belleview because it deserved a room that takes itself seriously without taking itself too seriously. The booths are deep brown leather. The tables are marble. The kitchen is open, so you can watch the pizzas slide into the oven while you wait.
Bring the whole family. Bring the whole soccer team. We have room.
